One of the most important questions to ask when considering a video clip for the classroom is: How can I get my students to interact with it?

One way of doing this is by bringing a very important tool into the equation: The teacher’s voice. In this lesson plan, students aren’t shown a video clip - they are told about it.

Hi Jamie,

Just wanted to say I love how your imagination comes into lesson plans like this one. I’m planning to use these ‘what happens next’ clips with a few classes soon. I’ll let you know how they go.

Mike =)

Thanks Mike
Thank *you* very much for all your hard work and support on the SEETA course. Hope you enjoyed the week.
Would love to know how this lesson plan goes for you.

Hi Jamie,

A great lesson plan, as usual!

Also, why not make the links in the pdf ‘clickable’ (by pressing the crtl-button)? Why, because when I select the link, copy and than paste, this is the result I get: ‘0027DD)))4*(+0+6″4#(W/1BX

Maybe I’m the only one with this problem, but just thought of sharing the Adobe possibility to prevent people from copy/pasting (or in my case retyping) in the future.

Cheers,
Erlend

Thank you Erland
Very kind of you to say so!

This is a real nuisance about the links. I’ve just tried and myself and the problem is the same.

Despite my efforts, I still haven’t been able to include hyperlinks in a PDF file. There’s no problem inserting hyperlinks into the original word files but convert them to PDF and they’re just not there. I am using my MacBook PDF print function. Perhaps it’s got something to do with that. Been online but haven’t found anything of use.

Hi Jamie and Erlend,

Just checked on PDFs I have made with links and I can click straight onto links to YouTube videos from the PDF.

That’s using Word on a PC to produce the PDF, so maybe it’s a Mac problem. I haven’t really helped there =(

Good luck sorting it out =)

Mike

Hi

If you press the little triangle button on the bottom right of the youtube video it decreases the size of the screen and shows you the url to embed the video and the straightforward url to show it on another screen. here it is anyway:

Hello Mark
That’s a tidy wee tip. Thanks for sharing it.
Jamie

Something to say?
